Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour 2 cups
  2. Water 2 cup
  3. Ajwain 1/4 tbsp
  4. Salt a pinch
  5. Baking soda a pinch
  6. Oil 1 spoon
  7. Tuvar dal 1/2 cup
  8. Moong dal (yellow coloured) 1/4 cup
  9. Masoor dal (orange coloured) 1/4 cup
  10. Chana dal 1/4 cup
  11. Moong dal (half green and half white coloured) 1/4 cup
  12. Turmeric powder 1 spoon
  13. Red chilly powder 1 spoon
  14. Coriander powder 1 spoon
  15. Tamarind chutney 1 cup
  16. Ramdev garam masala 1 spoon
  17. Sugar 1 spoon
  18. Sambhar masala 1 spoon
  19. Tomato 1 cup
  20. Onion 1 cup
  21. Ginger-garlic paste 1 spoon
  22. Mustard seeds 1 spoon
  23. Hing 1 spoon

Instructions

  1. First make dough for bati. In a bowl take wheat flour, salt, water, oil, ajwain, baking soda and knead dough of it rest it for 5-10 minutes.
  2. After resting make small balls of it. Take baking tray put aluminium foil on it. Put balls on it and bake it for 10 minutes in microwave at 170 degree.
  3. Pressure cook tuvar dal, moong dal(yellow coloured), moong dal(half green and half white coloured), masoor dal, chana dal by adding water in it upto 4-5 whistles so that it gets cooked well.
  4. After pressure cook remove excess water and keep little water only and with the help of blender blend it to smooth texture.
  5. In a cooker add oil, mustard seeds, tomato, onions, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, hing and saute them well.
  6. Then add tamarind chutney, dal water, salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, coriander powder, sambhar masala, garam masala, sugar and pressure cook till 1-2 whistles.
  7. Serve batis with hot panchmi dal.
