About Moong daal khichdi Recipe

Khichdi is a comfort food for everyone and moong daal khichdi is a simply traditional recipe, and healthy too

Moong daal khichdi

Ingredients to make Moong daal khichdi

  • 1/2 cup yellow moong daal
  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • 4-5 curry leaves
  • Pinch of hing
  • salt to taste
  • Corriender leaves

How to make Moong daal khichdi

  1. In a pressure cooker add ghee, then cumin, curry leaves and hing and curry leaves and saute minute
  2. Add soaked daal and rice and then add turmeric powder and salt and mix well together
  3. Now add 3 cups of water and cover with a lid and cook for 2 whistle
  4. Let the pressure release and then serve hot with dollop of ghee and fresh corriender leaves
