ABOUT Egg Fish Biryani RECIPE

Egg Fish biryani is easy to make, extremely flavourful and even those who do normally enjoy fish will LOVE this meal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 6 Fish fillet cubes of size 1.5 inch
  2. Cardamom pods 3 + 2 for rice
  3. Cardamom powder 1/4sp
  4. Cinnamon sticks 4 +3 for rice
  5. Clove 6 +3 for rice
  6. Bay leaves 2 + 1 for rice
  7. onion 1 big
  8. Tomatoes 2 big
  9. Ginger garlic paste 2tbsp
  10. Dhaniya powder 1 1/2 sp
  11. Cumin powder 1/2sp
  12. Red chilli powder 3/4sp
  13. Haldi 1 sp
  14. Salt
  15. Oil 4sp
  16. Biryani masala powder 1sp
  17. Coriander and pudina leaves 1/2cup
  18. Lemon 1/2
  19. basmati rice 2 cup
  20. Egg 3
  21. Soji 1/2 cup
  22. Milk 3/4 cup
  23. Ghee 1 sp

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice for 30 minutes , take fish pieces in bowl add 1/4 tsp chilli powder,salt to taste,lime juice,1/4 tsp haldi apply to the fish and keep it for marination for 15 min in refrigerator.
  2. Take sooji and add 1/4 tsp chilli powder ,salt to taste and mix well. Add 2 tsp oil to nonstick pan roll the marinated fish in sooji mixture and shallow fry these in low flame on both sides.
  3. Boil the eggs and cut each egg into 2 pieces and keep it aside
  4. Bring a big pot of water to boil, add salt, 2 cardamom pods, 2-3 cinnamon sticks and 2-3 cloves,1 bay leaves . Drain the soaked rice and add it to this water when it is boiling. Cook until the rice is about 3/4 done, remove and strain out all the water and keep it aside.
  5. Heat oil in a cooker add cinnamon,bay leaves,cardamom, cloves fry them and add onion sliced pieces fry till brown in color then add ginger garlic paste fry well then add green chilies, chopped tomatoes fry well and add salt, haldi,red chilli,coriander powder, jeera powder ,biryani masala powder,coriander leaves and pudina leaves and fry well add little water and 1/4 cup milk cook for 5 min.
  6. Now add little cardamom powder, boiled eggs and boiled rice and sprinkle little salt, remaining cardamom powder, coriander , pudina leaves, ghee,1/2 cup milk, at last add fish pieces, close the cooker lid and transfer this cooker to dosa griddle and dum cook in high flame for 5 min and 25 min in low flame.
  7. Now serve this hot biryani with raita of your choice.
