ABOUT SEV TOMATO NU SHAAK RECIPE

This is a Gujrati dish which can be made in a jiffy when you have unexpected guests.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Sev ..... 1/2 cup ( I used Haldiram's spicy sev).
  2. Onion ..1 small
  3. Tomatoes .... 2-3
  4. Green chillies .. 1
  5. Ginger garlic paste .. 1/2 tsp each (optional)
  6. Cumin seeds .. 1/4 tsp
  7. Mustard seeds .. 1/4 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder ... 1/8 tsp
  9. Coriander powder ... 1/2 tsp
  10. Salt ... to taste
  11. Sugar ..... 1/4 tsp (optional)
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. Oil .... 2-3 tbsps

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the cumin and mustard seeds.
  2. When they crackle add the onions,green chilli, ginger garlic paste and saute.
  3. Next add the chopped tomatoes, salt and spice powders.
  4. Simmer until the tomatoes are cooked. Mash it well.
  5. Add sugar if you like.and half a cup of water. Bring to a boil. Add coriander leaves.
  6. Now the gravy is ready. Add the sev only when you are ready to serve.
