ABOUT Spicy Jak RECIPE

Inspired by my grandmother, as she use to say every dish has more or less the same ingredients its just takes the right person to cook them , to bring out the perfection.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Jack fruit - 1/2 kg
  2. tomato paste - 6 table spoon
  3. onion Paste - 6 tablespoon
  4. ginger Garlic Paste - 3 Teaspoon
  5. Green chillies fine chopped - 2
  6. coriander Powder - 4 Teaspoon
  7. Turmuric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Garam masala Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. oil - 6 tablespoon
  11. Chopped coriander leaves
  12. salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the jackfruit in a cooker for 10 minutes.
  2. Once the jackfruit is boiled, take it out in a colander, and let it cool for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat the pan with oil, and start frying the jackfruit. once the edges turn brown take the fried jackfruit on a blotting paper in a plate.
  4. In the same pan, add ginger garlic paste, and onion paste and let it turn golden brown.
  5. Add the spices also with salt, after 5 minutes add tomato paste to the mix.
  6. Let the gravy turn dark er, and let it leave the oil from the edges of the pan. This indicates your gravy is ready.
  7. Take the fried jackfruit and add to the gravy.
  8. Mix it well, and keep cooking on low flame for 10 minutes.
  9. Once done, cover the pan for two minutes. Add chopped coriander leaves.
