ABOUT Vegetable paniyaram RECIPE

In south the dosa batter is used till its last in various ways starting from idly to dosa.. but no batter gets over without seeing itself in paniyaram satti (pan with balls like mould)

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Sour idly / dosa batter 2cup
  2. Carrot shredded 1/2cup
  3. Beans finely chopped 1/4cup
  4. Mushroom minced 2tsp
  5. Parboiled broccoli or cauliflower finely chopped 1/4 cup
  6. Tumeric 1/4tsp
  7. Asafoetida one pinch
  8. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  9. Urad dal 1 tsp
  10. Channa Dal 1tsp
  11. Sesame oil 1/4 cup
  12. Curry leaves and chopped coriander 1 tbsp
  13. Salt
  14. Green chilli finely Chopped 1
  15. One red chilli broken in pieces

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take the batter
  2. In a pan add oil.. asafoetida
  3. Then add one finely chopped onion ..saute well
  4. add ginger green chilli and redchilli
  5. Add beans saute well..then add Turmeric carrot broccoli and mushrooms in high flame
  6. Adjust salt .. add curry leaves and coriander
  7. Add the veggie mix to dosa batter
  8. Prep
