Dal makhni

Ingredients to make Dal makhni

  • 200 gm black gram
  • Two spoon ginger garlic paste
  • Two spoon cream
  • One cup chopped onion
  • Half cup tomoto puri
  • Two spoon deshi ghee (purified butter)
  • One big cardamom
  • One bay leaf
  • coriander leaves
  • salt
  • red chilly powder
  • dhaniya powder
  • haldi
  • water
  • kasoori methi
  • garam masala

How to make Dal makhni

  1. Step one is take a pressure cooker put water, black gram, ginger garlic paste, bay leaf, big cardamom, salt, turmeric and cook for 45 minutes at low flame
  2. Now make tadka for dal, take a pan put deshi ghee, onion and stir when onion becomes translucent. Add tomato puree, salt, red chilly, dhaniya powder, kasoori methi, garam masala and mix well
  3. Mix tadka into the boiled dal and mix well
  4. Garnish with cream and coriander leaves

My Tip:

Add butter for more taste
