ABOUT Orange Aspic with greens & Sprouts RECIPE

A savoury jelly set in a mould, it also contains vegetable and salad bits. A spicy jelly is used as a salad base.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 packet - Orange jelly + 1 tsp - Gelatin
  2. 1/2 cup - chopped Cabbage
  3. 1 tsp - finely chopped Mint leaves.
  4. 2 tsp - Capsicum finely chopped
  5. 1/2 - Capsicum sliced finely
  6. 1 cup - mixed Lentil sprouts steamed
  7. 1 - Cucumber chopped fine
  8. 1 - Carrots sliced finely
  9. 1 - Tomato sliced finely

Instructions

  1. Follow the instructions on the packet and prepare the jelly.
  2. Take 1/4 cup of water and dissolve 1 tsp of gelatin in it. Add this to the above made jelly mixture.
  3. Add chopped mint leaves, cabbage and capsicum. Pour this in a mould and leave it to set in the fridge.
  4. Steam the sprouts for 3 minutes. Take a salad tray and un-mould the prepared aspic jelly on it.
  5. Arrange sprouts, green beans aesthetically around the aspic jelly. I placed sprouts in the center.
