ABOUT Peshwari chicken karahi RECIPE

This is a contemporary dish of parsian origins. This goes great with paratha, plain rice or pulao. It is a verry tasty recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Refind oil 1/2 cup
  2. Chicken 1 kg
  3. Ginger paste 1tblspn
  4. garlic paste 1 tblspn
  5. Sliced onion 4
  6. Fried cude onion 2
  7. Black pepper powder 1 tblspn
  8. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tblspn
  9. Slit green chillis 4
  10. Coriander leaves
  11. Tomato 4
  12. Water 1/2 cup
  13. Garam Masala 1 tblspn
  14. Lemon juice 1/2

Instructions

  1. Heat 1/2 cup refind oil on a pan when the oil is nice and hot then fry 1kg chicken. Then get this out and keep it a side.
  2. Now in the same oil add 1 tblspn of garlic paste and 1 tblspn of ginger paste and fried till the raw fragrance goes off.
  3. Then add 3 sliced onion and fried. Added salt.
  4. When the onion turned golden then add 1 tblspn pepper powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, slit green chillis, chopped coriander leaves and mix this for sometime.
  5. Then add fried chicken and mix this really well and saute this for another 5 minutes.
  6. Then add 4 tomato and mix it again 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Then cover it and cook it another 5 minutes.
  8. Then add 1/2 cup of water and and cover it for 5 minutes.
  9. After 5 minutes add 1 tblspn pepper, 1 tblspn garam masala powder and 1/2 lemon juice and sprinkle some fresh chopped coriander leaves and cube fried onion then cover it.
  10. When the chicken is cooked then mix it once and sarve it with some freshly chopped coriander leaves.
