Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Fine granules of rice 2 cups
  2. Coarse granules of rice 1 cup
  3. Coconut milk approx 1/2 litres
  4. Diluted coconut milk and 300 ml(to make khoy)y
  5. Sugar 1 cup ( according to your taste)
  6. Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice .Dry and run through a sieve and separate coarse and fine granules.heat diluted milk in a sauce pan once it starts boiling add coarse granules put salt and keep stirring to see no lumps are formed..cook similar to rice.
  2. Once khoy is done let it cool then add remaing coconut milk and fine granules mix well concistancy should not be flowing and rest it overnight for fermentation.
  3. Once fermentation is done add sugar mix well.cook in steamer like we do for idlis.one batch takes approx 20 min to cook
