Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Urad dhuli daal....3/4 cup
  2. Moong dhuli daal...1/4 cup
  3. Fenugreek seeds....1 tea spoon (optional)
  4. Curd....500 grams
  5. Salt, black pepper and red chilly piwder...to taste
  6. Roasted cumin seed powder....1 table spoon
  7. Sweet and sour chutney
  8. oil to fry

Instructions

  1. Soak both the falls and fenugreek seeds, if using for 4 hours or more
  2. Now grind the soaked material to a fine paste and transfer to a flat donga or paraat
  3. Knead with palms of your hand vigorously till light.
  4. You can check daal by using water method, just drop a spoonful in the water, if it floats, then it's done
  5. Heat oil and drop spoonful of batter or make by hand and make a hole in it.
  6. Fry on medium heat.
  7. Add these bhalla in salted water for an hour, then squeeze the extra water from it and keep aside
  8. Put bhalla in the serving bowl or glass, add whisked dahi, sprinkle salt and masala and sweet and sour chutney
  9. Enjoy to the fullest and add any thing to it such as boondii, papdi or pani puri
