ABOUT DAHIWALE MAKHANE KI SUBZI RECIPE

Dahi wale makhane is a north indian style lotus seeds curry that can be made for your every day meals. Serve it along with jeera rice , steamed rice or phulka and a salad of your choice. Dahi wale makhane is a simple and tasty dahi based gravy .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 3 potatoes(boiled)
  2. 1 cup curd
  3. 1tsp red chilli powder
  4. 1tsp salt
  5. 1/2 tsp dhania powder
  6. 1/2tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/2tsp garam masala
  8. 2 pinches asafoetida
  9. 1 stalk curry leaves
  10. 1tbsp coriander leaves(chopped)
  11. 11/4 cup water
  12. 1/2 tsp each ginger and garlic (grated)
  13. 2 green chillies
  14. 1tsp each cumin and mustard seeds
  15. 1/2 tsp wheat flour
  16. 1tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Cut potatoes into big pieces.
  2. Mash 3to 4 pieces fine with hand . Keep both aside.
  3. Mix all the dry masala in 1/4 cup of water.
  4. Heat oil. Add ginger garlic, chilli and curry leaves.
  5. Add the masala mixture and fry for 2 minutes.
  6. Add beaten curd and fry for 5minutes or till the curd loses its whiteness.
  7. Stir continuously after adding curd.
  8. Add the remaining water and all the potato and flour.
  9. Stir well.
  10. Boil and simmer for 10minutes or till gravy thickens .
  11. Garnish with chopped coriander .
  12. Served hot.
