ABOUT Ram Laddu or Gulgulle RECIPE

Ram laddu is a very popular snack that originates from the street of Delhi. It is a delectable savoury snack.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup Yellow lentils(Moong Dal)
  2. 1 tablespoon Bengal gram lentils (chana dal)
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. Salt to taste
  5. 1-inch ginger
  6. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  7. 1/2 teaspoon jeera powder
  8. Oil for frying
  9. Green Coriander Chutney
  10. 1 cup grated radish
  11. A handful chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak moong dal and chana dal for 2 to 3 hours and drain the excess water once done.
  2. Add soaked dal, green chilli, ginger, salt, chopped coriander leaves, red chilli powder, jeera powder in a mixer jar and grind it a little coarsely without adding water.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  4. Using a spoon or hand, drop dollops of the batter in the oil, once it is hot.
  5. Fry them until they turn a slight golden brown in colour.
  6. In a serving plate add some ram ladoo and sprinkle grated radish and green coriander chutney.
