ABOUT Jalebi RECIPE

Jalebi is a syrupy sweet, traditionally prepared in India.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. All purpose flour 1 cup
  2. White lentil 1/4 cup (soaked for 2 hours and grind)
  3. Baking powder 1/3 teaspoon
  4. Red food colour 1/2 pinch
  5. Water 2 cup
  6. Green cardamom 4-5 (crushed)
  7. Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl combine all purpose flour, baking powder and red food colour and mix them well. Now add water in it and mix them well, it has to be lumps free
  2. Now add grinded Black lentil in it the above mixture and mix them well.
  3. In a vessel take sugar and add 3/4 cup of sugar in it and make one string sugar syrup of it
  4. Now heat oil in a pan and on the other hand, in a piping bag add the prepared batter in it and make jalebis of it in the hot oil and deep fry them.
  5. Now dip these jalebis in the sugar syrup and let it soak for 4-5 minutes and then quickly remove it from the syrup.
  6. Your Jalebi is ready to serve now if you want you can serve it with Rabri.
