Chatpata Mango Samosa

Ingredients to make Chatpata Mango Samosa

  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp jeera
  • Refined flour/ maida 3 cups
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 boiled potatoes, mashed
  • 1 raw mango, grated
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 to 5 curry leaves
  • 4 to 5 green chillies, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

How to make Chatpata Mango Samosa

  1. In a bowl add maida, salt, jeera, oil and knead the dough with warm water. Wrap it up with a muslin cloth for 4 hours.
  2. In a pan add oil, fry curry leaves, mustard seeds and green chillies. Let it crackle, then add the boiled potatoes mix well. Add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander chopped, grated mango and keep mixing till water evaporates.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and let it cool.
  4. Roll a stiff dough and make small to medium sized chapati. Roll into a cone and add the cooled stuffing in it.
  5. Seal it with some maida paste made with water.
  6. Heat sufficient oil in a pan and deep fry it. Serve with green spicy chutney and/or tamarind chutney.

My Tip:

Always give a twist in your cooking.
