Ingredients to make Monsoon Cheese Aloo Tikki

  • cottage cheese 1/2 cup
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • potatoes 2 Big or 3 Medium
  • Chopped green chillies
  • Chopped onion 1 cup
  • cumin powder as per choice
  • Black salt to taste
  • sugar 1 tbsp
  • tamarind Paste 1 tbsp
  • water 1/2 cup
  • curd 1/2 cup
  • Roasted cumin & Chilli powder as per taste
  • salt to taste
  • besan Sev 1/2 cup

How to make Monsoon Cheese Aloo Tikki

  1. Boil Potatoes in pressure cooker. Peel off and mash it. Add cottage cheese to it (Homemade Paneer). Add Salt and cumin powder, mix it well. Make 5-6 balls and press it to get a flat shape (Tikkies).
  2. Tamarind Chutney: Take tamarind paste in a pan, add sugar, water and salt to it and heat for 3 minutes. Add roasted cumin and chilli powder and mix it well.
  3. In a non stick pan heat 1 tbsp Oil and deep fry both sides of tikkies till golden brown.
  4. Place the tikkies on the kitchen tissue paper to soak extra oil. In a plate take 2 tikkies. On top of it add chopped onions and green chillies. Pour 1 tbsp curd and 1 tbsp tamarind chutney.
  5. Sprinkle black salt, roasted cumin and chilli powder. Garnish with Sev and chopped onions.
