Honeydew melon...They have named it very aptly...When I first tasted this fruit..It really tastes like the dew on flowers+honey...such a fresh taste...with a hint of mint as sorbet, it tastes excellent...A perfect treat for this scorching summer...There are lots of melons now in market....Don't miss the chance to taste this yummy fruit this summer...or buy a lot and freeze as sorbet like this and enjoy whole year....

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Honeydew melon- 1/2 small
  2. Mint leaves few
  3. Sugar- 1/4 cup
  4. Water- 1/4 cup
  5. Lime juice- 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Prepare simple syrup using equal amount of sugar and water...just dissolving sugar is enough...Let the syrup cool..
  2. Take a big mixer jar and put the honeydew melon slices and mint...
  3. Make a smooth paste out of all...Use ripe fruits for better taste and texture...Also we can add less sugar...
  4. .Add lime juice and the cooled sugar syrup and mix well...Freeze for 1 hour and take out...
  5. Mix well using a fork...Again freeze...Repeat the same 5 or 6 times...After 6 times, let it freeze overnight or at least 10 hours.
