ABOUT Rice balls RECIPE

Deep fried balls made from rice, with a cube of paneer in the centre

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4 tbps Ghee, 1 Onion finely chopped, 1 cup rice, Salt & pepper to taste, 2 tbps chopped coriander, 75 Gms Paneer cubes, 1 Cup dry bread crumbs to coat

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbps ghee. Add chopped onions & fry for 1-2 minutes
  2. Add washed rice. Fry for 1-2 minutes
  3. Add salt & pepper
  4. Add 2.5 cups water. Boil. Cover & slightly over cook.
  5. Add coriander, 2 tbps ghee & 1 tbps grated paneer
  6. Cut paneer into small cubes.
  7. Divide rice into 12 portions. Make a ball with 1 portion. Flatten it. Place 1 cube of paneer inside the ball & cover completely with rice mixture like the shape of a ball
  8. Roll over dry bread crumbs & deep fry until golden brown. Serve hot.
