ABOUT Rasam ....a popular dish of South India RECIPE

Rasam is a sort of soup, can be had piping hot,. Is a classic dish of South India now popular all over India

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Carrot, tomato, potato....1 each
  2. French beans...50 grams
  3. Tamarind pulp....1 table spoon
  4. Rasam powder....1 tea spoon
  5. Asafoetida ...1 pinch
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Jaggery...a small piece ( optional)
  8. Coriander leaves and Curry leaves to garbish oil....1 tea spoon
  9. vadas ...8

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and cook all vegetables till tender and grind into smooth paste.
  2. In another pan put this paste with 3 cups of water, tamarind pulp, jaggery, Rasam Powder, Asafoetida, salt and let it boil for few minutes
  3. Enjoy piping hot Rasam with vada or without vada is your choice
