Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cups Chana Dal soaked in 1 cup water overnight
  2. 1 cup rice soaked in 1/2 cup water overnight
  3. 3-4 green chilli chopped fine
  4. 1” ginger chopped fine
  5. 2-3 garlic cloves chopped fine
  6. 1 medium size onion chopped fine
  7. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  9. 3 cups water
  10. 1 sprig coriander leaves chopped fine
  11. 1 cup oil to fry
  12. salt as per taste


  1. Soak rice overnight in water
  2. Soak Chana Dal overnight in water
  3. Wash rice and Dal well and add in mixie
  4. Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chilli and water into the mixie
  5. Blend well and the consistency should neither be of thick or thin
  6. Add chopped onion, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and salt and mix well
  7. In a wok heat oil piping hot and reduce the flame to medium heat
  8. Take a ladle of the batter and slowly add it to the oil
  9. Don’t flip and let one side turn golden and then flip on the next side
  10. The centre should swell up and the Dhuska would be done
