Potato Boats

Ingredients to make Potato Boats

  • 2 boiled potato
  • 1/2 cup soya granules
  • 1 tablespoon zeera
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
  • salt as per taste
  • oil for frying
  • anar dana for garnishing

How to make Potato Boats

  1. Boil potato, peel them and cut lengthwise into two halves.
  2. Scoope out potatoes from middle.
  3. Mash scooped out potatoes and keep aside.
  4. Boil soya granules for about 5 minutes, run them through cold water, strain them.
  5. In pan, add oil, add zeera.
  6. When zeera gets brown, add pinch of salt, red chilly powder and mix.
  7. Place potatoes in it carefully and just shallow fry them from both sides.
  8. Take them out. In same pan, add little oil, add soya granules, salt, red chilly powder, garam masala powder.
  9. Also add scooped out mashed potatoes and stir fry it for about 3-4 minutes.
  10. For serving, fill in the cavity of shallow fried potatoes with aloo-soya mixture.
  11. Garnish with anar dana and serve Potato Boats
