ABOUT Soya potatoe pulav RECIPE

Had made lot of egg curry. Eggs were over but gravy left. Added soya chunks and lots of potatoes to make a nice pulav. Tasty and yummy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 2 cups
  2. Potatoes 2
  3. Onion 1
  4. Green chillies 1
  5. Soya chunks 1 cup Boiled
  6. Red chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp
  8. Kasuri methi 2 tbsps
  9. Lemon 1/2
  10. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook rice and keep ready. Can also use left over rice. Boil soya chunks in sufficient water for 5 minutes with little salt. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Chop potatoes as the same size of soya chunks.
  3. Chop onion and slit green chillies.
  4. Heat a tsp of oil. Add kasuri methi and stir. Add the onion and green chillies and saute further.
  5. Now add the potatoes, little salt, spices and cover and cook till done.
  6. Open add the soya chunks. Add the egg curry and saute for 2 minutes.
  7. Now add the cooked rice and mix well. Add 1/2 lemon. Cover and leave for 10 minutes.
  8. If adding uncooked rice then add sufficient water and cook covered for 20 minutes.
