Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Wholewheat flour 1 cup
  2. Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
  3. Sugar (powdered) 3/4 cup
  4. salt 1/4 tsp
  5. Grated chocolate 1/2 cup
  6. Oil 1/2 cup
  7. Curd 1/2 cup
  8. Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  9. Milk (If required)
  10. Chocolate essence /vanilla essence
  11. Walnuts (chopped) 1/2 cup
  12. Choco chips 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate by microwaving it for 30 seconds at a stretch till it melts.
  2. Stir well after every 30 seconds otherwise the chocolate will burn.
  3. When completely melted, add oil to the chocolate and stir well
  4. Now add sugar powder and salt and curd and mix well to form a lump free batter.
  5. In a different bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder.
  6. Add this to the chocolate batter and make a thick yet pourable batter.
  7. Add a few drops of milk if required.
  8. Then add half of the walnuts and the essence to this batter and mix.
  9. Preheat the oven or convection mode of the microwave at 180 degrees.
  10. Meanwhile, grease a baking pan with oil or lay parchment paper in the baking pan.
  11. Pour the batter in the baking pan and sprinkle the choco chips and rest of the walnuts on the top.
  12. Tap the baking pan to remove any air bubble.
  13. Now, bake the brownie in a preheated oven / convection mode of microwave for 30 minutes
  14. It is advisable to use a square pan for baking a brownie. Also, the pan should be big so that the brownie stays comparatively thinner in size than a cake.
  15. After 30 minutes, check for doneness using a toothpick. If the toothpick inserted comes out clean, the brownie is baked well.
  16. Let the brownie cool down on a wire rack and then cut pieces to serve.
