Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Whole milk
  2. 1 cup thick curd
  3. 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  4. 1 tablespoon vanilla custard powder
  5. 1 tablespoon corn flour
  6. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  7. 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  8. 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Take a heavy bottomed pan and add sugar to it. Heat on medium-high flame until it starts to melt on it own. Do not stir it.
  2. Meanwhile grease the base of your small steel bowls or silicone cupcake molds using some butter.
  3. Once it is all melted, reduce the flame to low-medium and stir using a long spoon carefully. Keep on heating it until it gets to a light brown color. Quickly switch off the flame. Pour 1-1 tablespoon caramel in each bowl. Let it cool.
  4. In a big bowl, combine all the other ingredients until they mix very well and no lumps are there. Pour about 1/2 cup of this mixture in the prepared bowls.
  5. Heat enough water in a steamer or any big vessel with a wire rack. Place the bowls in it and cover and let it steam for about 15 minutes on low-medium flame.
  6. Insert a toothpick and if it comes out clean then your creme caramel is ready!
