Everyone likes chakli.This time I have tried it with left over rice.It's so crispy & tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Left over cooked rice...1cup
  2. All purpise flour...1/2cup
  3. Gram flour/Besan...1/2cup
  4. cumin seeds...1tspn
  5. turmeric powder...1tspn
  6. Asafoetida...1/4teaspn
  7. Red chilli powder...1tspn
  8. Butter...1tspn
  9. oil for frying
  10. salt to taste
  11. Chaat masala...1tspn


  1. Make a smooth paste of left over cooked rice, salt, butter, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida & red chilli powder.
  2. Rice paste is ready.
  3. Add gram flour & all purpose flour in 1:1 propirtion.
  4. Make a hard dough of it.
  5. Now take a chakli mechine.
  6. Put the rice mixture in it.
  7. Take a butter paper & make chakli design with the help of the mechine.
  8. Heat enough oil & deep fry the chakli in medium heat.
  9. Sprinkle red chilli powder & chaat masala & enjoy!!!!
