ABOUT Vegetable Pulao RECIPE

A no oil vegetable recipe with rice,good for calorie conscious peoples.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 2cups.
  2. Carrot cubes 1/2cup.
  3. Beans 1/2cup.
  4. Pea 1/2cup.
  5. Capsicum 1/4cup.
  6. Cauliflower florets 1/2cup.
  7. Chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup.
  8. Curd 1cup.
  9. Pepper orn 8-10.
  10. Cumin seeds 1/2tea spoon
  11. Bay leaes2.
  12. Star anis.1.
  13. Split green chillies 3.
  14. Ginger -garlic paste.1table spoon.
  15. Garam masala powder1tea spoon.
  16. Red chilly powder 1tea spoon.
  17. Salt 1table spoon.

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak basmmati rice for 30minutes.
  2. Marinateall the vegetables in ginger garlic paste,curd and powdered masala.leave for 30minutes in fridge.
  3. Take a heavy bottomed pan,heat and dry roast all the whole spices on low flame .
  4. Add marinated vegetables and mix well.add soaked rice and mix well.
  5. Add 900ml hot water and green chillies.add salt .
  6. Cover and cook on high flame till water boils.
  7. Lower the flame to medium and cook till water dries or till rice is cooked.stir one or two times in between.do not stir too much.if reqire add some warm water till rice is cooked.
  8. Season with biryani/pulau.masala.(optional).
  9. Serve with raita.
