Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice.2cups.
  2. Boiled chickpea.1cup.
  3. Paneer cubes 1/2cup.
  4. Red chilly powder 1table spoon.
  5. Turmeric powder 1tea spoon.
  6. Coriander powder 1table spoon.
  7. Garam madala powder 1tea spoon.
  8. Curd 1/2cup.chopped tomato 1/2cup.
  9. Bay leaves 2.
  10. Star anis 1
  11. Cumin seeds 1tea spoon.
  12. Cinnamon stick 1"piece.
  13. Green cardemom 2.
  14. Cloves 4.
  15. Pepper corn 10.
  16. Ginger garlic paste 2table spoon .
  17. Salt 1table spoon.
  18. Half cup milk.
  19. 1/2teaspoon kewra.

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 30minutes in water.
  2. Maenwhile boil presoaked (ovrnight) chickpeas till soft.keep aside.let it be cooled.
  3. Marinate paneer cubes and chickpeas for 30 minutes.
  4. Boil basmati rice 90% and kerp aside.
  5. Heat a heavy bottomed pan.dry roast all whole garam masala on low flame.
  6. Add ginger garli paste with some water.cook for 2minutes on medium flame.
  7. Add termeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder and garam masala powdet.mix well and cook for 2minutes.
  8. Add chopped tomatoes with 1cup of water add salt .cook on medium flame for 5minutes.
  9. Add marinated chickpea,mix well.
  10. Spread cooked rice over chickpeas.cover and cook on very low flame for 10minutes.
  11. If required put a tawa below the pan to reduce the temperature to minimum.
  12. Add few drops of kewra in milk.pour over rice .put on dum for 5minutes
  13. Serve with raita.
