ABOUT Tomato Rasam RECIPE

Its a South Indian dish, which is eaten with rice. Good for digestion.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 handful of sambar dal
  2. 2 tomatoes chopped
  3. 5 to 6 garlic pods
  4. 1 cup coriander& mint leaves chopped
  5. 2 to 3 green chillies
  6. 1 cup tamarind pulp
  7. 2 tsp black pepper pd
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1tsp red chilli pd
  10. 4 to 5 dry red chilli
  11. 4 to 5 curry leaves
  12. 1tsp oil
  13. 1/2 tsp jeera

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook sambar dal, tomato chopped for 4 whistles then turn off the gas smash it nicely. In a Kadai add oil, fry curry leaves, jeera , dry red chilli, then add the grounded paste ( garlic pods, black pepper powder, coriander, mint leaves, green chillies ) mix well then add red chilli pd mix well then add 1 tbsp rasam pd mix well then add the cooked dal keep stirring till 1 boil comes then add salt, tamarind pulp and mix well.Serve hot.
