ABOUT Wontons RECIPE

A yummy appetiser that can be made veg or non-veg.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups maida
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 2 carrots chopped
  4. 2 capsicum chopped
  5. 1 /2 cabbage chopped
  6. 1tsp pepper
  7. 1tsp soya sauce
  8. 1 tsp chilli sauce
  9. 1 tsp oil
  10. Oil for frying
  11. 1 tsp oil
  12. 8 to10 garlic pods chopped
  13. Salt to taste
  14. 1tsp pepper
  15. 1 tbsp Cornflour
  16. 1 tsp chilli sauce
  17. 1 tsp tomato sauce
  18. 1 tsp soya sauce
  19. 1 bunch spring onions chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl add maida, salt, oil and make a dough with the help of warm water & wrap it up with muslin cloth for 4 hours.
  2. Then in a Kadai add oil fry carrots, capsicum, cabbage, spring onions, add salt, pepper and white pepper mix well till soft then add the sauces - chilli sauce, soya sauce mix well and keep it aside to cool.
  3. Then take a dough roll out in the shape of a roti and divide into half & half.
  4. Then take a small portion of it, add the stuffing inside and give it a shape and make one by one. Place it in plate and refrigerate it.
  5. Then later deep fry it.
  6. In another Kadai, add 1 tsp oil, add chopped garlic, green chillies fry well then add spring onions, then add the paste (cornflour, water, salt, pepper, soya sauce, tomato sauce, chilli sauce ) keep stirring till it becomes thick and turn off the gas .
  7. Serve wontons with this sauce.

Giving the shape is particularly tough in this regard, you have managed it beautifully :)
