This is a bonda made with left over adai batter.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Left over Adai Batter - 2 cups
  2. onion - 1
  3. Green chillies - 2 or 3
  4. Curry Leaves - a handful
  5. salt - ¼ tsp. (as there will be salt already in the adai batter)
  6. Rice flour - 1/2 cup


  1. Take the adai batter in a vessel and add the rice flour and salt and mix well.
  2. Chop the onions, green chillies and curry leaves finely.
  3. Mix all these with the adai batter well.
  4. Now heat oil in a pan.
  5. When the oil gets heated, take the kunukku batter in you hand and add little by little and fry like bonda.
  6. Fry till both the sides becomes golden brown in colour.
  7. Enjoy with evening Tea or Coffee.
