ABOUT Pindi Chana Burrito RECIPE

Burrito is a Mexican dish that consists of large tortilla with various fillings. In this recipe, I gave north indian twist by using pindi chana as a main filling. I used leftover pindi chana and rice to make this recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cooked Rice – ½ Cup
  2. Cooked Pindi Chana - 1 Cup
  3. Whole Wheat Medium sized Tortillas – 5
  4. Fresh Coriander Leaves – 1/4 Cup (finely chopped)
  5. Green Bell Pepper – 2 small (chopped)
  6. Onion – 1 large (chopped)
  7. Tomatoes – 2 (chopped without seeds)
  8. Lettuce – ¼ cup (shredded)
  9. Guacamole –5 tbsp
  10. Mozzarella Cheese – 1/3 Cup (shredded)
  11. Jalapeno – 2 (Chopped)
  12. Hot & Sour Sauce – to taste


  1. Take a tortilla, place pindi chana, rice, chopped veggies, guacamole, cheese, hot & sour sauce, chopped coriander one by one on the top of each other in the center.
  2. Now wrap the tortilla carefully so that it get fully closed from its all sides.
  3. Heat a pan and put the tortilla wrap and grill it from both sides until cheese gets melt and veggies, pindi chana and rice gets hot. Repeat the process to make more burritos.
  4. Serve immediately.
