Recently my Hungarian friend introduced me to this awesome dessert. It is a classic French cake consisting of layers of paper thin crepes, each separated with a brush of French pastry cream. I googled a lot of recipes and finally came up with something to suit our tastebuds.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 and a half cup plain flour
  2. 4 eggs
  3. 1 and a half tbsp sugar
  4. 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 3 and a half tbsp butter
  6. 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  7. 1 tbsp of icing sugar
  8. Half cup of Whipping cream
  9. Cocoa powder


  1. In a blender mix first five ingredients together. Ensure there are no lumps, adjust milk if needed to have a thick whipping cream kind of consistency.
  2. Preheat a pan, spray some cooking oil and pour around one fourth cup batter. Swirl the pan to get a thin crepe. Cook each side for around 20 seconds on medium flame.
  3. Once your crepes are ready. Let them cool.
  4. Whip the cream adding powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Now we just need to assemble. I have layered the crepes with cocoa powder and whipped cream. Decorated with strawberries
