Best reuse of rotis


Ingredients to make Chivda

  • Leftover rotis 5-6
  • oil 3 teaspoon
  • Raw peanuts 2 tablespoon
  • Roasted Bengal gram 3 tablespoon
  • Few curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder 1 tablespoon
  • Powdered sugar 2 teaspoon
  • Sev 1/2 cup or as per taste

How to make Chivda

  1. Roast left over roti on tawa at low flame by using cloth and make khakhra.
  2. Crush roti-khakhra with hand.
  3. In a pan heat oil.
  4. When heated, add peanuts, roasted Bengal gram and curry leaves. Saute till golden brown.
  5. Add crushed roti-khakhra.
  6. Add salt, turmeric powder and red chili powder.
  7. Mix well and roast for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Off the flame and add powdered sugar. Mix well.
  9. Allow it to cool down. Then add Sev. Mix well and store in airtight container.

My Tip:

Be careful while adding salt if you have added salt in dough of roti.
