About Dhokla Recipe

Dhokla

Ingredients to make Dhokla

  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1tbsp-rawa
  • 1/4cup curd
  • 3/4cup water
  • salt acc to taste
  • turmeric pd-1/2tsp
  • 1&1/2tsp lemon juice
  • Eno salt-1tsp
  • ginger greenchilli paste-1tsp
  • for tempering-
  • mustard seeds-1tsp
  • oil-1tbsp
  • curry leaves-8-10
  • til-1tsp
  • Green chilli-3-4
  • 1glass water
  • sugar-1tbsp

How to make Dhokla

  1. 1-Except Eno mix all the ingredients and make smooth batter..
  2. 2-In the end mix eno and beat it for 1 min, batter will be double in size.
  3. 3-Pour it in greased tin.
  4. 4-Pour 1glass water in cooker and boil it, then put stand in cooker and keep batter dish on it.
  5. 5-Cover with lid, remove whistle. Let it cook on medium flame 15 to 20 min.
  6. 5-Check with knife..if knife is clean dhokla is ready.
  7. 6-Prepare tempering..in a pan heat oil ,splutter mustard seeds& curry patta then add silt g chilli,hing,til,sugar and water.boil and turn off the gas.
  8. 7-Unmould dhokla, cut pieces, pour tempering and enjoy.

My Tip:

Check after 15 min.if not ready then cook for more few minutes.
