Spicy and tangy dish of potato

Chilli Potato

Ingredients to make Chilli Potato

  • potato - 4 medium size, cut into thick elongated shape
  • onion -2, Sliced
  • Green chilli - 4 to 5, slited
  • sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • Refined oil - 1/4 cup
  • tomato Ketchup - 2 to 3 tablespoon
  • Soya Sauce - 2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper Powder - 2 teaspoon

How to make Chilli Potato

  1. Parboil the potatoes in a open vessel or in a pressure cooker (less than a whistle on high flame).
  2. Now heat oil in a pan and fry the parboiled potatoes with little salt. Do this step in high flame. Keep them aside.
  3. In the remaining oil fry the sliced onions with little salt and sugar till they are brown.
  4. Now take a bowl and put all the ingredients (except oil) together including fried potato & onion. Keep it for at least half an hour.
  5. Finally, pour the mixture in the hot pan and toss well in high heat. Serve it with paratha, naan, kulcha or roti. You can also serve it with fried rice.

My Tip:

If you have some boiled potato in your refrigerator, can also use that.
