So we should think about the hard work of all the people that has made it possible, before wasting food weather it's fresh or leftover. We can made many amazing dishes from our leftover food. Leftover rice is very common in Indian household and we can made many tasty recipes from that leftover rice. I have tried this one. No doubt we all Indians are chaat lovers,on the time of eating chaat we are really not thinking about anything. Weather it's made from fresh ingredients or any leftover foods. We are just mad for the chat pata taste. So i made this leftover rice tikki chaat and it's a hit recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For tikki.-
  2. 2 cups of leftover rice
  3. 1 medium size boiled potato
  4. 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  5. 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  6. 1 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
  7. 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  8. Few finely chopped green chilli
  9. Few finely chopped coriander leaves
  10. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  11. 2 tablespoon oil for shallow frying
  12. Salt to taste
  13. For chaat-
  14. 1/2 cup of tamarind chutney
  15. 1/2 cup of green chutney
  16. 1/2 Cup of curd
  17. 1 large size onion finely chopped
  18. 1 large size tomato finely chopped
  19. few chopped coriander leaves
  20. 1 cup of fine sev
  21. 2 teaspoon Chaat masala
  22. 2 teaspoon chilli powder.
  23. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl take leftover rice, boiled potato,ginger garlic paste,finely copped green chilli and coriander leaves,salt,turmeric powder,chilli powder,garam masala powder,lemon juice.
  2. Mashed with hand mix properly
  3. Grease hand with oil and make tikkis
  4. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis till the tikkis are golden in colour
  5. Place the tikki in a plate
  6. Top with curd,green chutney,tamarind chutney,chopped onion,tomato,fine sev,chilli powder,chaat masala, salt and chopped coriander leaves as per your taste.
  7. Serve it.
