ABOUT Leftover Potato Ka Chop RECIPE

Potato chop is found in any shop where fried foods are sale in any corner of the street but I made this Potato Chop from leftover potato. Perfect snacks item with tea at evening.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Leftover boiled potatoes 3 piece
  2. Leftover biscuits 15 piece
  3. Mustard oil two table spoons
  4. Cumin seeds one table spoon
  5. Chopped onion half cup
  6. Ginger garlic paste one tea spoon
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Cumin powder 1 tbsp
  9. Chili powder 1 tea spoon
  10. Chopped green chilli one piece
  11. Gram flour as required
  12. Oil for frying
  13. Homemade masala powder two tea spoons (Take cumin seeds and dry red chilli in a hot tawa and roast this very well. Then grind it.)

Instructions

  1. At first take leftover boiled potatoes in a bowl.
  2. Peel the potatoes.
  3. Mashed the potatoes by hand.
  4. Now heat mustard oil in a pan.
  5. Then add one table spoon cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  6. Add half cup chopped onion and fry it well.
  7. Then add one tea spoon ginger garlic paste and cook for 30 seconds.
  8. Next add mashed potatoes.
  9. Now add salt, cumin powder, chilli powder, chopped green chilli and mix it well.
  10. Cooks the mixture for 4 to 5 minutes and stirring constantly.
  11. Now add homemade masala powder and mix well.
  12. Turn off the flame and let the mixture completely cool down and then mash them properly without any lumps on it.
  13. Take leftover biscuits in a pot.
  14. Take all biscuits in a mixer and grind it very well.
  15. Dust of biscuits is ready for coating.
  16. Take gram flour, salt, chili powder, cumin powder in a Bowl and mix everything.
  17. Now add water to this gram flour mixture and make a thick batter for coating properly. Add some hot oil to this batter so that chops will be crispy.
  18. Divide the mashed potatoes into equal portion and make balls of each portion.
  19. Take a ball between two hands and press it. Flatten and keep it aside.
  20. Dip it into the batter.
  21. Roll them in the dust of biscuits.
  22. All chops are ready in same process for frying.
  23. Heat oil in a wok and fry the Chops till golden brown in colour.
  24. Then transfer this chops into a tissue paper.
  25. Leftover potato chops are ready for serving.
