ABOUT Saoji Macaroni Braid RECIPE

Thanks to Betterbutter for making us love leftovers through such an brilliant contest . The first time I felt happy seeing my fridge loaded with leftovers . Lots to cook and submit . Yippie.. Ha ha . Coming to our Saoji Macaroni Braid , a Braided Bread made with all the leftovers . Leftover yeast dough , leftover Saoji egg curry , leftover macaroni is now transformed into a comforting Braided Bread . I surprised my child with today ‘s brownies and this macaroni braid . What a great Day !

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Leftover yeast ( bread )dough to make 1 long braided bread
  2. Boiled macaroni and pasta 1 cup
  3. Saoji thick egg curry without eggs
  4. Canned tuna 180 grams
  5. Garlic 3 fat cloves
  6. Parmesan cheese grated as preferred
  7. Butter melted for brushing
  8. Italian seasonings 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan . Add the Saoji egg curry and boil for 2 minutes .
  2. Add the tuna chunks . crushed garlic and cook in curry until combined . Add salt if required . Canned tuna contains salt and curry contains salt so didn’t add .
  3. Cook and bring to thick non pouring masala consistency . Remove from heat and cool .
  4. Roll the bread dough to a large oblong medium thickness roti .
  5. Place the macaroni vertically on the centre of the roti .
  6. Place the Saoji tuna masala on top .
  7. Grate Parmesan cheese .
  8. Cut the sides with a knife as shown for braiding
  9. Now bring each strips to the opposite just like braiding .
  10. Seal the top and bottom .
  11. Brush bread with Italian seasoned butter .
  12. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on the bread .
  13. Place in a preheated oven / cooker and bake for 30 minutes until golden brown .
  14. Saoji Macaroni Bread is ready .
  15. Cut into segments and serve hot .
