ABOUT Namak paare !! RECIPE

Namak paare.it is a crunchy crispy snack flavoured with carom seeds. A perfect snack for the lazy evenings that is enjoyed by one n all especially kids love to snack on these. It can be made in a jiffy hardly without any effort and can be stored for weeks.

Ingredients Serving: 6

2 cups : All purpose flour / maida
1/4 cup : oil
2 tsp : Carom seeds/ Ajwain
salt to taste
water as needed
oil for Deep frying

Instructions

In a bowl add flour, carom seeds, salt and oil. Mix it thoroughly until oil is incorporated well and crumbly texture is attained.
Now add water little by little and knead a stiff dough.
Cover and rest this dough for 20 mins.
Divide the dough into five or six equal portions. Roll into a 0.5 mm thick round.
Using a knife or pizza cutter cut into diagonals. Now fry them in moderately hot oil until golden on both the sides..
Drain them onto a paper towel. Cool them at room temperature n store in airtight container. Cherish while stock lasts.
