This Kheer made of macaroni and kesar is everyone's delight. I can bet you will not stop at one serving. It is very delicious and has melt in mouth texture. Happy Cooking..!!

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 3 cups milk(700 ml)
  2. 50 gms Macaroni or Pasta of your choice
  3. 1/4 cup sugar (you can add more if you like)
  4. 5-6 saffron strands
  5. 1 pinch cardamom powder
  6. 1 tbsp dryfruit of your choice

Instructions

  1. Heat water in a deep vessel and when water starts boiling add one tsp oil and macaroni/ pasta and cook till al-dente (just cooked).as mentioned on the packet. Stir it once in a while.
  2. Drain in a colander and rinse with cold water and keep aside.
  3. Keep saffron strands dipped in little warm milk aside for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Heat milk in a pan and when it starts boiling add in boiled macaroni/pasta.
  5. Add in the saffron dipped in milk and mix.
  6. Keep stirring the milk so that it does not get burnt.
  7. When the milk is reduced to half add in sugar and stir properly.
  8. Now add cardamom powder and nuts. And keep on stirring.
  9. When it starts thicken and milk is reduced to your desired consistency switch off the gas.
  10. Garnish with nuts and serve hot or cold.
  11. Note: generally we add salt while boiling macaroni/pasta but as we are making sweet dish so I avoided adding it.
