Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole green moong 2 cups
  2. Red chillies 8
  3. Garlic cloves 5
  4. Cumin 1 tsp
  5. Onion 1
  6. Ginger 1 inch
  7. Salt
  8. Water
  9. Seasame chutney:
  10. White seasame seeds 1/2 cup
  11. Green chillies 2
  12. Lemon 1/2
  13. Salt
  14. For tempering :
  15. Red chillies 2
  16. Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  17. Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. WASH AND SOAK 2 CUPS OF WHOLE GREEN MOONG OVERNIGHT
  2. STRAIN WATER AND ADD TO WET GRINDER
  3. MEANWHILE GRIND1 ONION,4 GARLIC CLOVES,1TSP CUMIN,1INCH GINGER PIECE,8RED CHILLIES WITH LITTLE WATER
  4. ADD THIS PASTE TO THE GRINDING MOONG PASTE
  5. BATTER IS READY
  6. ADD SOME WATER TO MAKE THIS CONSISTENCY
  7. FINELY CHOP 4 LARGE ONIONS AND KEEP READY.
  8. FOR THE SEASAME CHUTNEY: GRIND 1/2 CUP SEASAME SEEDS WITH 2 GREEN CHILLIES
  9. POUR IN A VESSEL ADD 2 CUPS WATER SQUEEZE 1/2 LEMON SALT TO SEASON
  10. TEMPERING : 1 TSP OIL, 1 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, 2 BROKEN RED CHILLIES, 1 TSP CORIANDER SEEDS
  11. ADD IT TO THE CHUTNEY
  12. HEAT A SKILLET ADD A TSP OF OIL AND SPREAD WITH A SPATULA SPLASH LITTLE WATER ALL OVER
  13. ADD 2 LADDLES OF BATTER AND SPREAD ON LOW HEAT
  14. SPREAD FURTHER WITH A SPATULA
  15. SPRINKLE FINELY CHOPPED ONIONS ALL OVER AND PRESS WITH THE SPATULA
  16. SPRINKLE A TSP OF OIL ALL OVER COOK ON HIGH FLAME
  17. SEE THE ROASTED PARTS. IT'S THE SIGN OF READINESS
  18. FLIP HALFWAY AND PRESS AND ROAST FURTHER
  19. TURN SIDE AND ROAST ADDING 1/2 TSP OF OIL
  20. REMOVE ON A SERVING PLATE.
  21. MAKE ALL SUCH THIN AND CRISP PESARATTU
  22. ENJOY WITH SEASAME CHUTNEY
