Something I stumbled upon on one of my experimental days. Nutritious, lip smacking and so very simple!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup of Soya chunks
  2. 1 1/2 cups of Rice
  3. 1 Capsicum chopped
  4. 1 large Onion chopped
  5. 5 split Green chillies
  6. 1 inch Ginger finely chopped
  7. 6 cloves of Garlic finely chopped
  8. 1 tsp Ketchup
  9. 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  10. 1 tbsp Vinegar
  11. 1 tbsp Oil
  12. Pepper to taste
  13. Salt to taste


  1. Add soya chunks to hot water and soak them for 10 minutes to soften.
  2. Take a pressure cooker and add oil. When it heats up add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry for a minute.
  3. To this add onions and cook till translucent. Now add capsicum and green chilies, stir fry for 5 minutes. Drain soya chunks and add to this.
  4. Combine well by adding vinegar, soya sauce and ketchup. Leave this to cool for some time. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add rice along with enough water (1½ inch above the mixture) to cook rice. Place the lid and pressure cook for 2-3 whistles.
