About Caramel Custard Recipe

Caramel Custard

Ingredients to make Caramel Custard

  • 3 large : eggs
  • 500 ml : Milk
  • 50 gms : sugar
  • 20 gms : sugar for caramel
  • 2 tsp : Vanilla extract

How to make Caramel Custard

  1. Whisk the eggs and milk together. Sieve the mixture and discard if any lumps.
  2. Now stir in vanilla extract and sugar.
  3. For the caramel : In a saucepan add sugar and heat on low until melted and turns golden.
  4. Now pour this caramel into a baking dish and pour the whisked milk and egg mixture over the caramel.
  5. Bake this in an preheated oven @375°f / 180°c for about 30 to 35 mins.
  6. Now cool this in the pan for couple of mins and later invert on to a serving dish and serve chilled.

My Tip:

Do not over cook the sugar as it turns hard n burns in no time !!
