Ingredients to make Adraki Murg

  • 500 gm chicken legs(1 leg cut into 3 pieces)
  • 2-3 tbsp ginger paste
  • 3 - 4 tbsp curd
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp lalmirch powder
  • 1 tsp chicken masala
  • 1/4 tsp haldi powder
  • 4 -5 green chillies
  • 1 tsp kasoori methi powder
  • 4 chopped onions
  • 4-5 tomatoes
  • Oil and desi ghee as required
  • For Garnish :
  • Chopped coriander
  • ginger strings

How to make Adraki Murg

  1. Take chicken and add salt, haldi powder, lime juice, ginger paste, curd and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil and desi ghee in a karahi. Add jeera, tejpatha to it.let it crackle.
  3. Add chopped onions sauté till golden brown.
  4. Add pureed tomatoes and cook for 7-8 minutes on low flame. Add garam masala, chicken masala, lalmirch powder, green chillies, kasoori methi powder. Saute for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add marinated chicken and cook till oil separates.
  6. Add water and cover it and cook till chicken is done.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander and ginger strings.
  8. Serve hot with tandoori roti.

My Tip:

Marinate for atleast 1 hour
