ABOUT Alfredo Chicken Penne Pasta RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Olive oil 1 tablespoon
  2. Garlic cloves(minced) 3
  3. Chicken broth/stock 1 cup
  4. Heavy whipping cream 1 cup
  5. Uncooked penne pasta (any pasta can be used) 1/2 pound
  6. Cream cheese 2 ounces
  7. Butter 1-2 tablespoon
  8. Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon
  9. Parmesan cheese, shredded 1 cup
  10. Boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into small pieces 1 pound

Instructions

  1. In a large vessel bring 4 - 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste. Add the uncooked pasta to boiling water. Stir gently.Return to a boil. For authentic pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 11 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat,drain the excess water in a colander.
  3. Take a large pot, heat oil and brown the pieces of chicken.
  4. Add in garlic and continue to cook until garlic is fragrant.
  5. Add in chicken broth/stock, heavy whipping cream, pasta, cream cheese, butter, Italian seasoning.
  6. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer to cook for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan. Serve hot. Garnish with fresh Parsley and Basil.
