About Pasta Arrabiata Recipe

Pasta Arrabiata is a delicious main dish recipe that you can prepare for your family and friends on occasions.This pasta recipe is prepared using penne pasta, tomatoes, oregano, chilli flakes, olive oil and garlic.This is an easy to make Italian recipe that would be loved by people of age groups.

Ingredients to make Pasta Arrabiata

  • For boiling pasta:-
  • 200 gram penne pasta
  • 4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin oil
  • salt to taste
  • For making sauce:-
  • 2 red tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 2 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon pasta seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • salt to taste
  • 2 teaspoon grated processed cheese for sprinkle

How to make Pasta Arrabiata

  1. 1. For Boiling Pasta:- Put water in a pan and heat it.Add penne pasta, salt and olive oil into it.
  2. 2. Boil it for 7-8 minutes.Your pasta should be al dante cooked. When done drain the water and keep aside.
  3. 3. For making pasta sauce:- Cut the tomatoes from the top removing their woody part.
  4. 4. Then put them in boiling water for 2-4 minutes or till the skin starts peeling off.
  5. 5. Now peel the skin nicely and roughly chop the tomatoes.
  6. 6. Grind them in a mixer and make a fine paste.
  7. 7. Now heat a pan and pour extra virgin olive oil in it. Add finely chopped garlic and chilli flakes and stir them together.
  8. 8. Now pour the tomato paste and saute it.
  9. 9. Add in salt, black pepper powder,pasta seasoning, oregano,dry basil leaves and tomato ketchup and give a nice stir.
  10. 10. Mix all the ingredients on low heat for 4-5 minutes till the sauce thickens and the quantity halves.
  11. 11. For mixing the sauce and pasta together:- Add the boiled pasta to the sauce and mix it well.
  12. 12. Now sprinkle some grated processed cheese on top.
  13. 13. Pasta Arrabiata is ready to serve.
  14. 14. Now serve it hot.

My Tip:

You can use parmesan cheese instead of processd cheese.
