Pista Cake

Ingredients to make Pista Cake

  • 1 cup all purpose flour (Maida)
  • 1/4 cup curd
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 3 tsp malai (fresh cream)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp milk
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 4 tsp pistachios powder
  • 2 tsp olive oil

How to make Pista Cake

  1. Sieve two time flour, baking powder and baking soda. Keep aside.
  2. Mix sugar, curd and all wet ingredients.
  3. Mix all the dry and wet ingredients together. Mix well and add the pistachios powder.
  4. Do not over beat.
  5. Pour it in the baking tin and bake in the oven or in a wok/kadhai.
  6. Test by inserting the knife in the middle. If it comes out clean, your cake is ready.

My Tip:

Use aluminium baking dish when you bake in a wok. When you bake a cake into a wok (kadhai) first preheat it for the first five minutes on a high flame and then lower the flame.
