ABOUT Badami nimko. RECIPE

Crispy wheat flour patties ,very common in North India.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Whole wheat flour 1cup.
  2. Maida 1cup.
  3. Almond powder 1/2cup.
  4. Ghee 1/2cup.
  5. Soda bi carb 1tea spoon.
  6. Salt 1tea spoon.
  7. Nigella seeds 1tea spoon.
  8. Few cloves for sealing the nimko.
  9. Oil for deep frying 2cups.

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.
  2. Mix by both hands to get a crumbled texture.
  3. Add water little by little to make a semi hard dough.
  4. Cover the dough with a muslin cloth and rest for 20 minutes.
  5. Aftet 20minutes ,divide doughinto 12equall pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into a thin chapati,fold twice to give a triangular shape.
  7. Seal the edge with clove.
  8. Deep fry on medium heat till golden.
  9. Serve with jam/sauce.
