Cochin konkani cuisine which i learnt from a food group.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1) fresh grated coconut_ one cup
  2. 2) red chillies ( roasted in lil oil) 5_6 nos
  3. 3) tamarind, a small piece
  4. 4) ivygourd cut into rounds_ 10-12
  5. 5)mustard , curry leaves, jeera, oil_ one tsp each to temper
  6. 6)salt as required

Instructions

  1. 1- take coconut shredded, redchilli, tamarind,in a mixer n grind to a fine paste.
  2. 2-Apply some salt to ivygourd pieces, keep for 10 minutes,n deep fry in oil.
  3. 3-boil the ground mix, adding lil water,n salt( take care while adding salt,as veggie has salt in it),cook well for 5 minutes,then add the fried ivygourd pieces,mix well,pour the tadka of mustard,jeera, n curry leaves.the curry is ready.
