This is one of the most flavourful yet simple to make tomato soup recipe you can get. Served with freshly baked breads/ scones, this soup works as an amazing appetiser for any occasion

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  2. 4 garlic pearls deskined and chopped fine
  3. 4-5 whole black pepper corns
  4. To taste salt
  5. 2 large tomatoes washed,desseded and chopped roughly
  6. 100 gram fresh coriander leaves and stems


  1. Heat oil in a saucepan and sauté the garlic and pepper corns till the garlic turns slightly brown and aromatic
  2. Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté on Low heat covered till the tomato skin is almost loosened/peeled off
  3. After keeping aside a few leaves for garnish, add the coriander leaves and sauté for 2 minutes and take off heat
  4. Let cool and then blend fine with very little water if needed
  5. Transfer the soup to the saucepan once again
  6. Add salt and cook the soup on Low heat until thick /has achieved the desired consistency
  7. Serve warm with breads/scones garnished with coriander leaves reserved aside
